NYC Energy & Water Performance Map is our new building energy performance and carbon emissions platform developed in partnership with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability.
The tool provides an interactive platform to view, query, and analyze seven (7) years of Local Law 84 energy, water, and carbon emissions data for more than 20,000 of the biggest properties in New York City. It also provides building-specific GHG intensity targets in accordance with the recent Climate Mobilization Act. Users can compare buildings by Energy Use Intensity, Water Use Intensity, GHG intensity, type, size, age, Energy Star scores, and other metrics, as well as see how individual buildings perform against their peers in any given year or over time. Data from all queries can be downloaded as CSVs for further analysis. There is full search capability by address and BBL, and functionality in both 2D and 3D perspectives.
The tool is designed to assist the real estate industry, city agencies, and the general public in better understanding pathways to 80x50. It provides an intuitive way to measure building performance in relation to peer buildings in the context of building energy performance grading and GHG target mandates.
